Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on Karamoko Dembele according to reports.
The German giants are set to “battle” Arsenal for they 16-year-old’s signature, claims the Mirror.
The Gunners were reported to be planning another raid on Parkhead after having signing Kieran Tierney at the end of the transfer window. PSG and Juventus have also been credited with an interest in the player.
It would be a surprise if top teams across Europe didn’t have their eye on Dembele.
Bayern Munich have already snatched Liam Morrison from the Hoops, so it’s unlikely the precocious Dembele will have somehow managed to remain under the radar.
The teenager made his first-team debut against Hearts at the end of last season and Celtic fans loved what they saw.
Dembele was rewarded for that impressive runout with a place on the bench for the Scottish Cup final against the Gorgie outfit.
Having had a taste of first-team action, the youngster, who recently returned to the reserves after an injury lay-off, the door to more appearances under Lennon appears to be open.
Dembele has two years left on his deal and, hopefully, will see Parkhead is the ideal place to progress his career.
Not only can he draw inspiration from Tierney, but he can also look to James Forrest, who is now in his testimonial season after being handed his debut by current boss Lennon in 2010.
