Arsenal have submitted a fresh bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney according to reports.
Having had an initial £15m bid chucked out, the Gunners have come back with a £25m offer, says the MailOnline.
A Scottish transfer record, it will still give Celtic a serious decision to make as it may not be the full cash asking price.
There have been suggestions of appearances-based add ons, while the BBC’s David Ornstien, told the Arseblog podcast, on Friday that there was a chance of paying the deal up in instalments over the season.
He had suggested that the move was “going nowhere”, but that there was still a “deal to be done”.
Tierney’s long-term injury could still play a factor. The player has struggled for a large chunk of last season and Neil Lennon said he still had a way to go with his recuperation following his operation.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon said: “KT still has the osteitis pubis problem it’s a slow burner that one.
“We will need to get to the bottom of that.”
