Dan Petrescu could be set to leave Cluj to return to Dynamo Moscow according to reports.
The former Chelsea star spent almost two years in with the Russian club before leaving by mutual consent in 2014.
Russian press have linked him as a potential candidate to replace Dmitri Hohlov, who resigned yesterday.
Petrescu’s agent Nicolae Pîrnău said that he would be open to a move.
Speaking to to TelekomSport television he said: “I do not know if Dan Petrescu is on the list of possible coaches of the Dinamo team, because I do not have that list.
“I can say for sure that Petrescu had a good time in Russia, at Dinamo Moscow in particular, and would like to return.
“In the Europa League groups, he defeated Lazio and lost against Celtic, there is the possibility that he could conclude his contract with CFR Cluj.
“If it were an offer from Dynamo, I do not think there would be a normal coach to refuse it, because the conditions and the Russian championship are an attractive prospect”
Celtic gained revenge over Cluj for the Champions League exit in August with a 2-0 win on Thursday.
Neil Lennon’s side travel to face the Romanian champions in the final group match of the campaign on 12 December.
